Creating without Boundaries
40 essays in around 100 words #6
To create is to work in the margins, rejecting what already exists to reflect the New. To create means to reflect the Creator. The desire to create comes from a love for what is not yet fully known–a certain discontentment. Creating destroys the boundaries of utilitarianism, productivity and even certainty. It feels fitting considering our God is the Creator of the cosmos. Why on earth would we expect to know His mysteries when we stay within established boundaries. Our God is the One who looked upon formless chaos and manifested light and life. Knowing this Creator will not happen in the safe walls of our certainty.
